Project Overview
Biophilia is an editorial and brand identity project exploring the relationship between natural environments and urban living. The project investigates the importance of reconnecting with nature by integrating plant life into interior and architectural spaces.
At the center of the project is a printed publication that combines typography, illustration, and color to highlight the role of nature in human well-being. The book serves as both an informational and visual artifact, translating research on biophilic design into an engaging editorial format supported by bold visual language and layered compositions.
The project expanded beyond publication design into a broader visual identity system, including branded applications across apparel and visual assets, reinforcing the concept of Biophilia as both a publication and a lifestyle-oriented brand.

Concept & Visual Approach
The visual language was developed to reflect the vibrancy and vitality of natural environments within structured urban settings. Illustration and typography were used together to create dynamic compositions that evoke growth, movement, and organic layering.
Risograph printing played a central role in shaping the visual identity of the project. The technique’s distinctive texture and saturated color layering introduced depth and tactile richness, reinforcing the project’s emphasis on natural materials and sensory engagement. Color selections were intentionally bold and vibrant, referencing the diversity and energy of plant life.
Layouts were structured to balance clarity and visual rhythm, allowing typography, imagery, and negative space to interact across spreads. The resulting editorial system reflects the harmony between organic and architectural elements, visually reinforcing the concept of nature integrated into everyday environments.
